Day Three

Day Three, went pretty well, with the exception of our hotel. It's not very nice, if it wasn't raining so hard, we might have rather stayed in the camper. We are staying in a little town, Clarksville, TN, right near Fort Campbell. We made a stop here because 101st division that Mark was with during his time in Iraq are here. He was even able to catch up with one of his buddies from Iraq.
We only hit a little rain while we were driving, but it's been raining since we got here. We had plans to go downtown to the river walk, but we were rained out. We did spend some time today in the pool at the hotel trying to burn off some of Adam's energy. Tomorrow is our longest day on the road, 6 hours.

Adam keeping busy in the leaves while we break down the camper.

Breaking down the camper again in the freezing cold! I must say the heater works great in the camper! It was only 14 degree last night, but it was so warm in our camper, we kicked our covers off.

First injury of the trip. I thought it would have been Adam or Mark first. It doesn't look to bad in the picture, but I hit my nose with one of the metal bars under the camper, luckily it wasn't my eye. It bled for a little while and left a lovely bruise.

Our first stop of the day was at "THE BEST CREAMERY IN TENNESSEE", as it read in the newspaper. So we had to stop!

Adam chose a banana all by himself. I guess he thought it was too early for ice cream.

The mountains in Tennessee are beautiful. We couldn't stop taking pictures of them...

You drive right through the mountain...

There was even water frozen in the rock! It was cold out!

Isn't it gorgeous!?

We tried to keep Adam busy during the day because he decided to only take a twenty minute nap today!

He really likes his new laptop...

Even Zoe has given up and just lets Adam pet her. She knows there's nowhere to go anymore.

We passed the Grand Ole Opry!!! We couldn't believe it!!! We didn't have the time or energy to actually stop, so we just took some pictures as we drove by

Our hotel room door opens to the outside, so we had to get bundled up to get to the pool.

The pool was nice and warm.

Lets tire this kids out!!
