Grandmom & Grandpop Ugi Visit

Mark's parents came to visit all the way from NJ this week. We all had a great time. Adam LOVED having his Grandparents here. You could tell he really missed them.

On Friday we took an overnight trip to Paso Robles, Ca (wine country). It was beautiful.
The first winery we stopped at was Tobin James.


There they had a really neat patio outside...


Inside, we were able to walk in the back where they make the wine...

It was so much fun sampling all the wine. Of course, Adam fell asleep during the fun part of the trip, instead of on the ride there...

After all the wine tasting, we settled into our hotel for the night and went to the pool.

For dinner we went to a really nice restaurant called the Paso Robles Inn. What were we thinking bringing a two year old to a fancy steak house...

Luckily, there was a koi pond right outside, so we took him out there during dinner...

Mark had a delicious steak for dinner...

And I had a Kobe burger. It was very good, but I thought it was a little expensive, until I learned what Kobe beef was. Sorry little cow...

The next morning, we woke up bright and early and went to the balloon festival. It was amazing to watch the hot air balloons.

Adam wasn't too happy about waking up at 6:00am. He was pretty cranky until 8:00am when he normally wakes up. It was as if someone turned a switch and he woke up.

Everyone huddled around the balloon to take pictures and stay warm. It was actually really cold that morning.

After all the balloons launched they had a lot of things to see. Of course, Adam loved the fire truck...

then he took a bounce in the bounce house...

The police helicopter landed right next to us. All the kids were able to go up to it and see inside. Adam had a blast...

Adam got an airplane and a sticker from the pilot...

After the helicopter landing, we were all beat, so we went back to the hotel, took a nap and headed home... It was a great trip!
