A Day with Friends

We decided to take a day off from painting and take a trip with our friends Shaun, Ann, and Riley. We started the day off by going to a park in Vasalia, about a half hour away, had lunch and then headed up to the Sequoia Mountains. We couldn't believe they were only an hour away!

We are so happy to have friends like Shaun and Ann here with us.

Riley and Adam... They have become best buds! Adam asks if Riley is coming over every morning now.

They give each other hugs all the time.

Adam tried to do everything Riley was doing on the playground, but some things he still needed Mommy's help with.

Shaun and Mark watching the boys from above...

Adam taking a break with Daddy. Riley was tiring him out.

Peek-a-boo Adam!

Peek-a-boo, Riley!

Adam was trying so hard to keep up with the big kids...

After Vasalia we headed to the mountains. It was a beautiful drive through the orange and lemon orchards. We can't wait until they are ready to eat!

This is the lake at the bottom of the mountain. You can see how low the water line is...

Then we headed up the mountain. We made it to about 6500 Ft above sea level, but decided to stop for the day because it started raining pretty bad and we were losing day light. We were able to see some the Giant Forest before we left. The trees were amazing! We can't wait to go back on a nice day, and explore it more.

Can you believe how big they are?

The view was beautiful from up there!

We can't wait for you guys to come visit and see it for your selves. It's so amazing!

Behind us, it's straight down about 6000ft. We decided to leave Adam in the car for this picture.

After the trip to the mountains we went over to Shaun and Ann's for dinner and Wii. Mark and I had a great time boxing each other. Mark won, but I got a few good punches in before we knocked me out.

Look at Mark try to hide from my punches...
