Veteran's Day

On Veteran's Day, we watched the parade in Leonardtown, and then went to the Calvert Marine Museum. What a fun day!

Adam was a pro at getting the candy. He was scooping it up before all the other kids even knew it was there, but he was a nice boy and shared his candy with everyone.

But we did let him keep one lollipop, or "pop" as he calls it. He wanted it so bad! He just stood and tried to taste it through the wrapper...

then he tried to will it out of the wrapper...

when that wasn't working he just stood in defeat and completely ignored the parade...

with a little help from Mom, he was able to get the wrapper off, enjoy his "pop" and watch the rest of the parade...

He LOVED the fire trucks...

He was really excited when a yellow fire truck passed that matched his own little fire truck...

At the end of the parade, a bi-plane flew over the crowd at 11:11am. Veteran's Day has always been a very important day to remember, but this year I have a new found respect for the holiday, having Mark home safe with us. Thank you to all the Veterans and their service!

On Veteran's Day, we were able to go to the Calvert Marine Museum for free. So we took advantage of it and took Adam one more time before we left.

Adam enjoyed all the hands-on exhibits...
