We had planned on living on base in California, but the waiting list was at least six months. We looked into renting and buying on the computer, but couldn't decide. At the last minute we decided to fly out there and look first hand before we made a decision. Good thing we did, because the houses we loved online, were not as nice in person. But we did find a great house that was a forclosure and decided to put an offer in on it. Well, to make a long story short, our offer was excepted and we are now the proud owners of a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Lemoore, CA. Since it is a forclosure, it needs some tlc, but we are up to the challenge.
It needs some landscaping in the front and back. Luckly, it has a great sprinkler system. It's just not turned on right now.
It even has a paved driveway on the side for our camper, which continues behind the fence.
In the kitchen we are going to re-do the counters, probably get new appliances, and put down a new floor.
In the livingroom we are going to put down a new floor. Right now it is a very gaudy, pink and purple marble floor. Not very practical for a toddler. We also want to make it one type of floor throughout the livingroom, diningroom and kitchen. The rest of the house just needs carpet and paint. Wish us luck!
We're gonna have alot of work to do when you get here,eh? LOL
