Grandmom Malsbury's Visit to California

My mom came to visit for two weeks. We had a great time and wished she could have stayed longer.

She showed Adam how to play Hop-Scotch.

and blow bubbles!

One night we had chicken, and Adam went to town on the drum stick. I really don't think there is anything this kid won't eat!

One day we took a trip up to the Fresno Zoo to go to the ZooBoo, but first we stopped at the park.

The ZooBoo was really neat. They decorated the whole Zoo for Halloween and the children got to walk around in their costumes and get candy.

They also had games for the kids. Adam loved winning the prizes!

Spider-Ring-Toss!

We always love going to the Zoo!

Adam was Thomas the Train!

It was starting to get dark!

The next day we went to the pumpkin patch up in Reedley, Ca. Adam loved finding the perfect pumpkin!

They even had a little corn maze!

And a VERY wobbly bridge!

The BEST part of the pumpkin patch was at the top of the hill there was a TRAIN!

They even had a model train.

I think Adam could have stayed and watch the train all day!

Then it was time to ride the train!

It took us all around the farm.

We went by grapes on one side...

and Christmas trees on the other. Well, they were a little different than the Christmas trees in NJ. They looked more like the shrubs you put in your front yard. But they were still pretty.

Once we were done with the train, Adam got to play in the playhouse and secret tunnel.

Then it was time to pick the perfect pumpkin! He picked a small one for himself, because he said he was small and two white little pumpkins for Zoe and Oscar because they are white and smaller than him. You have to love the reasoning of an almost three year old.

Then we stopped by a little river on the way home for lunch!

Adam had to decorate his pumpkin as soon as we got home. We decided not to carve our pumpkins this year and try something new. It is kind of like a potato head. You just push the parts of the face right into the pumpkin. It came out pretty cute and we don't have to worry about them rotting in the heat.

Then Adam wanted to add his own touch to the pumpkin!
Happy Halloween Everyone!
It was a great visit with my mom. I just wish it hadn't gone so fast. But we will see everyone at Christmas in a few months!
