Mark's Chief Pinning

We finally made it through six weeks of training and now Mark is officially a Chief. The ceremony was wonderful. We are so proud of him!



Mark had to stand at attention during the entire ceremony.


When they came into the theatre they were singing and chanting. It was pretty impressive and powerful.


There were about forty men and woman who were pinned at the ceremony and about twenty more were pinning on the ship that is out at cruise.

We were so happy that our family was able to attend. Jimmy, Uncle Bill, Aunt Jo, Mom and Dad.

Mark chose myself and his Dad to pin his anchors on. It was very special.

Mark's sponsor Chief, Chief Miranda covered him. (which means placed his Chief's hat on him.)

Now he is official! He looks so handsome in his uniform.

After the ceremony, the Chiefs line up and everyone gets to personally say congratulations to them.

I am so proud of him!
