Mother's Day Trip

Mother's day weekend, Ann and I went to Paso Robles for a wine tasting tour. It was a present from Mark and Shaun. It was an amazing trip. It was nice to have the weekend off and relax, but we couldn't wait to get back home to see our little guys. I guess that's what being a mom is all about. You want to have a weekend to yourself, but you end up talking, thinking, and worrying about them the whole time.

The van picked us up from our hotel and drove us to four wineries. The first winery we went to was Castoro.

This is the group that we went with...

We were excited about finding a wine we liked..

The walk to Castoro's was beautiful...

The second winery we went to was Doce Robles. It was a sweet "mom and pop" winery with beautiful views...

We were starting to feel the effects of the wine, but still having a great time...

Ann was excited about this wine...

The third winery we went to was Eagle Castle.

It even had a moat!

After more wine tasting we took a break to have a picnic lunch.

After lunch we were getting a little tired, but we had one more winery to try. It was the Rotta Winery. It has been in business over a hundred years.

The owner took us for a tour of the winery. It was so interesting to learn how the wine is made. I'm sure I would have retained a lot more information, if it wasn't our fourth winery.

It was a wonderful Mother's Day! Thanks Mark! I love you!
